Daniela (Ela) Castellanos-Reyes is pursuing a Ph.D. in Learning Design and Technology at Purdue University. Her research interests are the community of inquiry framework, quantitative research methods, learning analytics, and Latinx’s in higher education. Ela won the 2019 AECT DDL best practices award as part of the team who developed the Purdue Repository for Online Teaching and Learning. In May 2020, she received the International Peace Scholarship from the Philanthropic Education Organization (P.E.O). Ela is the first graduate student at Purdue University to be awarded such recognition. Her latest work using longitudinal social network analysis to examine learners' interaction in MOOCs received the People’s Choice Award from the Colombian Student Association at Purdue.
